The Museum of Foteviken in Sweden is an Archeological Open Air Museums and has apart from working with living history and live interpretation three main spheres of activities: * The maritime archaeology and history is the important base of the museum activities. * The task of making the Viking Age and Early Middle Ages resurrect. * The spreading out of knowledge of history via modern IT-techniques. The Museum of Foteviken owns some 70.000 square metres of meadowland at The Bay of Höllviken. Most of this area is a plateau. This land is divided into different areas of activities. The reconstructed Viking Age village, The Viking Reserve is situated upon the plateau. 24 reconstructed houses. working with live interpretation Located in the lowland area are the administration, IT and research buildings. The handicraft workshops and warehouses are also situated in this area. There are also three large activity halls, covering an area of 600 square metres. These buildings house the restaurant the great feast hall The Valhalla. The restaurant is fully licensed. The Valhalla can accommodate about 400 guests. www.foteviken.se
