Welcome to my profile! My name is Angela Pfenninger, I live in the South-West of Germany and am a historical interpreter here and elsewhere. I offer concepts, scripting and performance of museum walks and theatre (first or third person, costumed interpretation) to professional standard in German and English. My focus is on interactive formats that involve the audience by giving them small tasks to add to the performance. I also like to use methods of biographical theatre when looking for the most suitable format that the subject matter calls for. Furthermore I am a freelancer for event agencies such as Agentur Erlebnisraum, where I participate in Murder Mystery Dinner events, and I offer costumed and 'regular' walking tours of my home town Speyer. In past years, I have acted as tour and museum guide in Regensburg, and Heidelberg, Germany (Stadtmaus and H&B Tour Conception) as well as Edinburgh (The Edinburgh Literary Pub Tour, as well as Camera Obscura) - for both private and municipal tour operators. In 2014, I was privileged to work as a guest with Past Pleasures Ltd. on the "Glorious Georges - 300 Years of Hanoverian Succession" events at Hampton Court Palace, London. Currently, I am in the process of devising and writing a costumed walk through the fortress of Ehrenbreitstein, Koblenz, for Cultural Heritage Authority of Rhineland-Palatinate, GDKE. I give talks on the subject of museum theatre on behalf of the regional museum education board (Landesverband Museumspädagogik), offer workshops for museum professionals on improvisational skills, and act as co-editor of the IMTAL Europe magazine "Insights" (together with Ingo Glückler). Because my main job these last twelve years has been festival management, I have sound organistional skills and a proven methodical approach to any new challenges. I look forward to hearing from you!
